About me

My name is Benjamin Friedl and I am a web and backend developer from Austria. I am 17 years old and currently in the 5th grade at HTL St. Pölten.

I build personal projects with Nuxt, Vue, TypeScript, Rust, Node.js, and modern web tooling. I like turning ideas into useful interfaces, learning new technologies, and connecting frontend design with reliable backend systems.

My motto: |

My Projects

Here are some of the Nuxt, Vue, TypeScript, Rust, and Node.js projects I have built for school, experiments, and personal learning. They show how I approach frontend interfaces, backend services, search, documentation, and collaborative tools.

Lexica

Lexica

A Nuxt and Tailwind knowledge base for my school notes and personal project documentation. It turns markdown files into a readable website that is easy to browse and maintain.

Sock - Search Engine

Sock - Search Engine

A personal search engine experiment built with Nuxt, Rust, Weaviate, and Tailwind. It indexes more than 1000 of my most visited websites and explores how custom search can work on a smaller dataset.

My old Homepage

My old Homepage

An earlier Nuxt and Tailwind portfolio experiment with a very playful background effect. It helped me test animation-heavy UI ideas before building this cleaner portfolio.

WORST

WORST

A web-based editor inspired by word processors, built as a personal frontend project. It experiments with collaborative editing workflows and document-style interfaces.

My Ideas for future projects

Here are some ideas I have for future projects. They are mostly web development, backend, machine learning, and app experiments that I would like to build as I keep improving my portfolio.

  • BeethovensAI: Machine Learning Model that converts a picture of music notes into musicXML. This allows transposing, editing, and playback of the music.
  • My Personal Blog: A blog where I share my thoughts and experiences on various topics.
  • Recorder Voice: A voice recording app for android that supports recording multiple tracks, and makes it very simple to edit and mix the recordings.
